TOPIK Results: When to Check Them and How to Get Your Score Report

1. Find the result date for your exact session

PBT, IBT, and Speaking have different session numbers and release dates. Check the number and format on your registration confirmation, then find the matching row in the official calendar. Do not use a neighbouring session’s date or mistake the exam date for the result date.

The official regulations provide for results to be published on the announced date and time on the TOPIK website. If the schedule changes, the change is also announced there. The calendar therefore gives you the planned date, but the current TOPIK notice remains the final checkpoint.

1. The session number and exam date.
2. TOPIK I, TOPIK II, or TOPIK Speaking.
3. The PBT or IBT format, if it is stated for the result.
4. The planned release date and time in the official calendar.

2. Check your result only through the official service

Open the official TOPIK website yourself and select the result lookup. Before entering any details, check the domain and secure connection.

Prepare the details from your registration confirmation or exam documents. The precise fields may depend on the current service form, so copy their names without guessing and do not give them to a third-party helper.

1. The session number and exam details from the registration confirmation.
2. Your identifier and other candidate data only in the fields shown by the current official form.
3. The original registration documents, so you do not reconstruct spelling from memory.
4. After the result opens: the exam, format, total score, and awarded level.

3. Your score report is issued through the TOPIK website

The verified regulations provide for the official score report to be issued through the TOPIK website. It is not sent by post, fax, or email. There is a narrow exception for exams outside Korea: at its own request, the administering organization may receive one copy per participant to pass on. This does not mean every test centre must automatically issue a copy.

Once the result is open, use the saving or printing function available on the official website. Button names and the placement of interface elements can change, so this guide does not reproduce the interface step by step.

If a university, employer, or programme asks for a “TOPIK certificate,” ask the recipient which document they need, whether an electronic file or printout is acceptable, and how recent the result must be. Those requirements are set by the recipient.

1. Save the original file without editing its document fields.
2. Check that the name, exam, session, scores, and level are visible.
3. Create a backup in secure storage.
4. Before sending it, confirm the file format and result-age requirement with the recipient.

4. A TOPIK result is valid for two years

The period is counted not from the exam or the day you download the document, but from the official announcement date. Under the verified regulations, a result is valid for two years from that date.

A recipient may set a shorter validity period for its application. Official result validity and the rules of a particular application are therefore two separate checks.

5. If the result or score report will not open

Service status changes, so check a dated official notice rather than an old screenshot or retelling.

1. Check whether the announced release date and time have arrived.
2. Open the current TOPIK notices: the date may have changed, or the service may be recovering.
3. Do not repeatedly enter details on an unfamiliar mirror site or give login details to a “helper.”
4. Record the error message without personal data and try again later through the official service.
5. If you need the document by a deadline, contact the recipient and the official organizer: only they can confirm an acceptable alternative.
