Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TopikLab application (the “App”), developed by Maksim Butakov (“we”, “us”).

By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.

1. Service Description

TopikLab is an application for preparing for the TOPIK exam (Test of Proficiency in Korean). The App provides:

• Simulation of TOPIK I and TOPIK II exams based on real past exam questions
• Practice by question type (block practice)
• AI evaluation of written works using OpenAI

The App is available via web browser at web.topiklab.com and on Google Play.

2. Registration and Account

• Browsing questions is available without registration
• Registration (by email or via Google) is required to save progress and results
• You agree to provide accurate information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials
• One user — one account

3. Acceptable Use

When using the App, you agree to:

• Not disrupt the service (attacks, overloading, scraping)
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ data
• Not copy or distribute App content without permission
• Not use automated tools for mass access to the App

4. Intellectual Property

• TOPIK exam questions are the property of the National Institute for International Education of Korea (NIIED)
• The App’s code, design, and user interface are our intellectual property
• Your written works belong to you

5. AI Writing Evaluation

• AI evaluation is provided “as is” and is advisory in nature
• AI scores are not official TOPIK results
• We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI evaluations
• Texts are sent to OpenAI for processing (see Privacy Policy)

6. Limitation of Liability

• The App is provided “as is”, without warranties
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• We are not responsible for TOPIK exam results obtained after preparation using the App
• Maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for using the App (currently 0, as the App is free)

7. Free Use

The App is free. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future, with prior notice to users. Existing free features will remain available.

8. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the App in cases of:

• Violation of these Terms
• Abuse of the service
• Technical necessity

You can stop using the App at any time by deleting your account via “Settings” → “Delete Account”.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a notification in the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

The current version is always available at info.topiklab.com/terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation.
